Becca is a well-rounded trainer, having started out in 4-H as a young kid and later on going to work for a large scale Board and Train facility training thousands of dogs and their owners over her 13 year career there. Along with her husband, Kenton, she started Family K9 a veteran of the dog world well versed in many areas she has never stopped looking for new adventures to jump into with her dogs, her most recent sport being Flyball. While Becca has experience in several venues her passion is in competition Obedience having put over two dozen Obedience and Rally titles on a multitude of breeds for herself and clients.

Becca has trained and trialed dogs in Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Lure Coursing, Fast CAT, Earthdog, Barnhunt, IPO/Schutzhund, Dock Diving, Trick Dog, and CGC. Her current dog, Belgian Malinois "Nike" (CH Desert Mtn's Victory Takes Flight CD BN RN DS TKP BCAT CGC), is working to add Flyball and Agility to the list. "Nike" and the late great Lakeland Terrier "Tre" (CH Snowtaire's Go the Gusto RA TKP JE) were the first of their respective breeds to earn the Trick Dog Performer title.

In 2009 Becca was asked to develop a canine behavior-evaluation test for a Western Washington chapter of the Humane Society to aid in its adoption program. Adopters are able to use the evaluations to consider the temperament of potential adoptees and select the dog that's right for them. Her system not only helped boost the number of adoptions, Becca says, but more importantly, has helped boost their success rate.
The American Kennel Club has designated Becca a certified official evaluator in its Canine Good Citizen Program and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has certified her to conduct Meet Your Match and SAFER behavior evaluations. Member of the Olympic Kennel Club and American Belgian Malinois Club.
Behaviorist, Master Trainer Kenton Callahan
AKC Evaluator For: All Levels Canine Good Citizen & Trick Dog
Kenton is a hardworking and passionate dog enthusiast. He loves helping people form a strong bond with their dogs through training, and hopes to continue doing so for the rest of his life. Kenton got an early start with dogs; before he could walk he was participating in Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue with his family. As soon as he was old enough to drive he had a job at a dog daycare/boarding/grooming facility. After three years there, he found he had a natural ability to communicate with dogs. He apprenticed at Paws-Abilities dog training center for two years where he gained an extensive knowledge of all kinds of dog training. It was there that he was bitten by the competition bug and got hooked on dog sports. He actively participates in Rally and Competition Obedience throughout the Puget Sound area, and encourages all dog owners to explore dog sports. In his free time, Kenton continues to hone his skills with his Border Collie, "Ezreal" (RedTop's Ezreal RE BN)
